How to create a Background Video?

With Video Background, it is possible to add as many videos as you need to any number of pages to the Shopify storefront.

In order to start doing so, you will have to click the Add new video option on the app dashboard:

You'll be prompted to select the store's page where you want the video to be displayed (Video Page property) and the place of your page where the video is to be (video type property). Depending on the type of video selected, a new section will appear in which you will select the position of the video inside the page:

We have two (2) ways to select where the video will be shown. If you're not familiar with CSS, we suggest you go with the first option " Visual selection":

Click the "Select target element" button, you'll be redirected to your store. Follow the instructions on the screen and, once in your store, move the mouse over the page to find the box where you want to put the video.

Once the location is selected, you can click on "Save and continue". Next, you are taken to the Video Preferences page, in which you will be able to introduce your video's URL: Enter the YouTube or Vimeo video URL and click on "Save" at the bottom or top right corner. 

Now you're all set, you can also take a look at the different options from the preferences page and tune some additional configurations. 

If you want to add a new video, click again on "Add a new video" on the dashboard and follow the same instructions.
