Tag if the order number is odd/even
This slightly unusual criteria is actually very useful for Merchants who split their fulfillment process between two teams.
By assigning a different tag depending on whether the order number is an odd or even number ensures an even split of orders between two teams.
One team will work from an orders list view that has been filtered by Odd tags and the other team will work from an orders list view that has been filtered by Even tags.
How to use the criteria
To split orders using this criteria, you will need to create 2 workflows. One workflow for odd numbered orders and one workflow for even numbered orders.
To get started, click on the Create New Workflow button from the main Workflows view:
Define the trigger to determine at which point you would like the workflow to run, we recommend selecting the trigger when orders are created.
Click the Add criteria to my workflow button:
The Order Number is odd/even number criteria can be found within the Order category in the Select criteria pop-up window:
Click the Use in your workflow button on the right to select this criteria.
Let's create the even numbered workflow.
Within the Choose option dropdown select is an even number.
Choose the name of the tag you'd like to see on all orders that match this workflow and enter it into the Add tags when the workflow matches section. In this example we have used the tag EVEN:
Click on the Add fixed tag button.
It's worth giving your workflow a name to help you identify it at a later date, so add a workflow name in the New Workflow section, check the summary of your workflow and if happy, either Test your Workflow against an existing order or hit Save Workflow:
Hit Save and that's it!
Follow the steps above to create a similar workflow for Odd numbered orders.
Any new order will now be checked to see if it has an odd or an even order number and the corresponding tag will be applied.
Backdating
This criteria option will work when Backdating your orders.
Dynamic Tagging
The Order Number is odd/even number criteria does not currently work as a Dynamic Tag as there is no value in the order data that holds this information.
