Tag based on the quantity of products with a certain SKU in the order

This criteria allows you to highlight orders that contain a certain quantity of a particular SKU code. It is often used to highlight when similar SKU's have been ordered so that the pick and pack process can be more efficient (similar SKUs are often located within close proximity of one another).

When this criteria is run against an order, the quantity of all matching line items will be added together and then tested against the quantity value/condition that you specify, to see if the criteria has been matched.

Criteria Options

There are two values that can be configured within this criteria.  One is the SKU and the other is the Quantity. Both values contain conditions that will allow for either an exact match, or broad match.

SKU code

The SKU code option has a variety of conditions to select from:

Here is a brief overview of what each of those conditions does:

is: Does the SKU code exactly match the string you have specified? is NOT: Does the SKU code NOT match the exact string you have specified? contains: Does the SKU code contain the string you have specified anywhere in the value? does NOT contain: Does the SKU code NOT contain the string you have specified anywhere in the value? in: Does the SKU code match exactly any of the provided comma separated list of values?

Select the condition most suited to what you are trying to identify in your SKU code value.

SKU quantity conditions

The SKU quantity conditions specify how the value that you enter should be evaluated against the total quantity of matching line items. The options are:

  • Greater than
  • Greater than or equal to
  • Less than
  • Less than or equal to
  • Equal to

Note: When using Greater than or equal to and the value is 0, every order will be tagged, since the provided SKU has a quantity of 0, when the SKU isn't part of the order. Use Greater than 0 for those cases.

Select the condition and enter the quantity required for this criteria to match an order.

It is mandatory to name your workflow to save or edit it. Otherwise, you won't be able to save the changes or even test them. Then, check the summary of your workflow, and if happy, either Test your Workflow against an existing order or hit Save Workflow:
