Tag orders based on the Collections for the Products in the order

This criteria allows Merchants to tag orders depending on the Collections that some or all of the products in the order either belong to or don't belong to.

In short, if your workflow differs based on how you fulfill products based on the collection they are in, then this criteria can be customized to meet most of your needs.

We'll outline how to set up the criteria and explain how each of the four available criteria conditions can be used.

Why tag orders when products are or are not in certain collections?

There are many reasons why you may wish to tag orders based on whether or not the products in the order are in or not in certain collections. A few examples are:

  • Highlight orders fulfillable by another location when all products are in the same collection
  • Only contain products from a certain Vendor
  • Only contain products of a certain Product Type
  • Only contain products from a Seasonal collection
  • Only contain products from a Sale collection

Criteria Conditions and when you might use them

There are 4 conditions to select from when customizing this criteria. Each of them will check the products in the order against the collections that you specify but will differ slightly on whether or not they match:

If ANY of the products in the order are IN the collections that you select, then the criteria will match.

If ANY of the products in the order are NOT IN the collections that you select, then the criteria will match.

If ALL of the products in the order are IN ALL of the collections that you select, then the criteria will match.

If ALL of the products in the order are NOT IN ALL of the collections that you select, then the criteria will match.

Select the appropriate condition for the workflow you are trying to build.

Selecting the Collections
