CT - Scheduled tag removals

Once you have defined your workflow and the tags that should be applied, you also have the ability to schedule the removal of those tags.

Scheduled tag removals do not work with Backdating

If you are running a backdate and select a workflow that uses the scheduled tag removal feature, then the workflow will run, however, the tag removal will not be scheduled. We have not been able to find a way to offer this as an option at this point in time.

The Scheduled removal of tags added by this workflow feature can be found towards the bottom of the workflow builder page:

Tag removal options

The default option is set to a specified period of days:

e.g. To remove the tags after 2 days you would enter the following:

You can choose the following units of time for tag removals:

  • Minutes
  • Hours
  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Years

We also have 3 tag removal options that are calendar-based:

  • At the start of the next week (Monday 00:00am)
  • At the start of the next month (1st 00:00am)
  • At the start of the next year (Jan 1st 00:00am)

All of the calendar options are based on the timezone of your Shopify store.

After the set period of time, Customer Tagger will automatically go back to that customer and remove ALL of the tags that were applied by the workflow.
